Sameena Uddin
Dr. Sameena Uddin has a focused practice in thoracic surgical oncology, including lung, gastroesophageal, and other malignancies of the mediastinum and thorax. Her additional clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, malignant pleural effusion and improving outcomes for lung and esophageal cancer. She completed her thoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto and continues to be an adjunct lecturer, teaching medical students and residents at all levels. Her main goal in taking these leadership positions is to improve the time to treat for thoracic malignancies. Through various initiatives, she hopes to raise the profile of the Regional Thoracic Surgical Oncology Program and strengthen its relationships within the community and with patients and their families.
