Jamil Ahmad

Dr. Jamil Ahmad was born and raised in Mississauga, and has practiced plastic surgery in Mississauga since 2010. He specializes in aesthetic surgery including rhinoplasty, facial aesthetic surgery, and revision aesthetic surgery. Dr. Ahmad completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at University of Toronto followed by medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed his plastic surgery residency training at the Department of Plastic Surgery, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. In addition, he completed a fellowship in breast reconstruction at the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, University of Toronto. He is certified as a specialist in plastic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Ahmad is currently an assistant professor at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. 

Dr. Ahmad has served in many leadership and governance positions. Dr. Ahmad is President on the Board of Directors of the Aesthetic Society, the largest professional organization for board certified plastic surgeons specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery in North America. He is a Past President of the Rhinoplasty Society, which is an international professional organization for surgeons specializing in rhinoplasty. Dr. Ahmad is a Past President of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which is the Canadian professional organization representing plastic surgeons who specialize in aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Ahmad is the Past Chair of the Section on Plastic Surgery of the Ontario Medical Association. 

Dr. Ahmad has authored more than 200 articles and chapters in plastic surgery. He has given over 500 invited lectures globally. He is the Body Contouring Section Editor on the Editorial Board for Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He co-authored both the 3^rd and 4^th Editions of Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters, Secondary Rhinoplasty: By the Global Masters, and The Dallas Rhinoplasty and Dallas Cosmetic Surgery Dissection Guide. Dr. Ahmad is a consultant to industry providing insights that drive innovation and education in the plastic surgery space. Dr. Ahmad is a consultant to the Government of Ontario. He has served as an expert witness for the Crown Attorney of Ontario.
