Fellowship in Epilepsy Neurosurgery

Toronto Western Hospital 

Program Duration & Structure:

This is a one-year clinical fellowship. Fellows will focus on advanced epilepsy surgery, within multidisciplinary clinical‑research settings, participating in didactic activities and immune to a potential research path. Training components are consistent with other neurosurgical fellowships (University Health Network).

Scope of Training:

  • Pre‑surgical evaluation including video EEG monitoring and functional imaging
  • Surgical treatments: resective epilepsy surgery, laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), and other neuromodulatory approaches
  • Participation in multidisciplinary case conferences with neurologists, neuropsychologists, and allied health professionals (Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic)
