Zaid J. Siger

Dr. Siger graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad, Iraq, in 1998. In 2004, he was selected for and completed the Ontario International Medical Graduate Program at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
He completed his Royal College fellowship in General Surgery at the University of Toronto in 2009, followed by a combined fellowship in General Surgical Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Toronto in 2011.

Dr. Siger then took a staff position at Scarborough Health Network – Centenary Hospital, where he served as Chair of the multidisciplinary cancer conferences at Centenary hospital. His practice focused on gastrointestinal and breast oncology, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and general surgery. His primary professional interests are knowledge translation, advancing cancer care in the community, and improving access to high-quality surgical oncology services.
