Assistant Professor

Jennifer L. Quon

Neurosurgery

MD, MHS

Location
Hospital for Sick Children

Dr. Quon received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with honors from New York University. She completed medical school and a Master’s of Health Science at Yale School of Medicine. During medical school she spent a year as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellow working on an induced pluripotent stem cell model for congenital brain malformations. She did her neurosurgery residency at Stanford University and completed her Chief Fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at The Hospital for Sick Children. While at Stanford, Dr. Quon received NIH/NINDS-R25 funding and developed machine learning models to better understand pediatric hydrocephalus, brain tumors, and operative anatomy. Dr. Quon has a particular interest in improving the quality and effectiveness of patient care using machine learning for prognostication of pediatric brain diseases based on imaging. She has broad clinical interests in neurosurgery, but will focus her clinical practice on brain tumours, particularly using endoscopic endonasal approaches, and pediatric vascular disorders.
