Biography:
Douglas Wooster attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario (Western) and completed training in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery at the University of Toronto. He holds privileges at the University Health Network and St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto. He has served on numerous boards and committees of the University of Toronto, the hospitals and national and international societies. He has been active in continuing education standards and programming at the Royal College and American College of Surgeons and consensus panels for vascular ultrasound. He has initiated and maintained internationally recognized self assessment programs and CE programs. He has received a variety of awards for his education work.
Academic Interests:
Research related to vascular diagnosis and management of risk factors, carotid, aortic and peripheral arterial and venous disease, guideline implementation, education strategies and vascular ultrasound. He has presented locally, nationally and internationally by invitation and abstract acceptance. He has collaborated on a variety of educational and clinical research projects.
