David McCready

Dr. David McCready completed medical school and General Surgery residency at the University of Toronto. During residency, he completed a Masters of Science studying the effects of prostaglandins on gastric mucosa and ulceration. Subsequently, he completed a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. McCready is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is currently on active staff at the Princess Margaret Hospital, University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital and Women’s College Hospital. His specialty interests include breast cancer and melanoma.
Dr. McCready holds The Gattuso Chair in Breast Surgical Oncology at Princess Margaret Hospital and is Head of the Breast Centre at Princess Margaret Hospital. He is principle investigator of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project at the Princess Margaret Hospital site and is a member of the Breast Site Executive of the National Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group.
