Tator-Turnbull Spinal Cord Injury Symposium
Join us for the 24th Annual Tator-Turnbull Spinal Cord Injury Symposium, which will take place on Monday, November 10th at 1:00 - 5:00 pm ET, at the BMO Conference Centre (60 Leonard Ave, Toronto). For those outside of Toronto, you can attend virtually by registering HERE
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Naomi Kleitman, who is Senior Vice President of Grants and Research at the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation. Her keynote address, titled "Making Hard Choices – Viewed from Different Perspectives", will cover a wide range of topics including: i) career and research trajectories, ii) care vs cure, iii) funding decisions, and iv) what to bring to trial (and when). This talk, from an esteemed leader in the field, will be of great interest to members of the neuroscience and research community as it will shed light on how funding agencies make decisions and best practices for research planning.
Early career researchers will present their work, covering the spectrum of preclinical, translational, and clinical research, and these talks will provide a foundation for panel discussions later in the day. The symposium is part of the University of Toronto’s Collaborative Program in Neuroscience (UofT CPIN) Distinguished Lecture Series, and supported by the University of Toronto Spine Program and several partners.
