Learning Objectives:
- To understand, based on insights from the Dutch Size Matters project, how sex and/or gender may influence thoracic aortic aneurysm diagnosis, disease progression, treatment, prognosis and coping strategies.
- To learn in the context of thoracic aortic aneurysm and aortic valve disease the importance of informed shared decision making (M/F), and how microsimulation models can help to translate patient population-based outcome evidence to patient specific outcome estimates.
- To get insight into why and how (intersectional) gendered patterns in academic medicine/surgery influence healthcare organisation, decision making and quality of care & research; and to learn about effective measures aimed at creating inclusive healthcare.
