Sarah Jung appointed as Business Manager at the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto
Dear Colleagues,
I am happy to inform you that after an extensive search, Sarah Jung has been appointed as our new Business Manager at the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto effective February 23rd, 2026.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Master of Education in Higher Education from the University of Toronto.
Over the past nine years at the University of Toronto, Sarah has built a distinguished career marked by progressive leadership within its healthcare portfolio. She began as a Project Officer in the Faculty of Dentistry and advanced through a series of increasingly senior roles. Her experience includes serving as Manager, Academic Administrative Services (Faculty of Dentistry); Manager, Academic Programs (Department of Medicine); and Interim Director of Business and Administration. Most recently, she held the role of Manager of Planning and Operations in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer at Temerty, providing strategic and operational oversight across clinical, research, and procurement units.
Sarah is recognized for her strong commitment to operational excellence, collaboration, and innovation. She brings a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to complex environments and is enthusiastic about joining the Department of Surgery, where she looks forward to supporting its mission and contributing to the ongoing success of its faculty, learners, and staff.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my immense gratitude to our retiring Business Manager Nancy Condo and to congratulate her on her outstanding contributions over 40 years as a leader in our Department.
